Description
By first pan searing and getting a nice caramelization on each side, then finishing in the
oven your Pork Chops will be moist and delicious.
Ingredients
4 Bone in pork chops (1½ to 2 inch thick)
2-4 tablespoons Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Pan sauce
¼ cup of water
2-4 tablespoons Heinz 57 sauce
1-2 tablespoon unsalted butter
Instructions
Add italian seasoning, salt & pepper into a small bowl and mix well. Pat pork chops dry using
a paper towel and place on a platter. Generously coat easy pork chop with the seasoning
mix and pat/rub into the chops, set aside for 5-10 minutes. Place a large heavy bottomed,
oven safe sauté pan over medium high heat. When the pan is hot, coat the bottom with olive
oil about ¼ inch (2-4 tablespoons) depending on the size of your pan. Add chops and sear
each side until caramelized crust is formed (4-5 minutes per side). Place the pan in a
preheated 375 oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, place chops on a platter and
loosely cover with foil and let rest for 5 minutes. Return the the pan used for the chop
(REMEMBER PAN WILL BE HOT) to a burner set on medium add the water to the dripping/oil
and stir, scraping any bits of the bottom and reduce slightly. Add 2-4 tablespoons Heinz 57
sauce and 1-2 tablespoons unsalted butter to the pan dripping and stir till slightly thickened.
Drizzle pan sauce over chops and serve.
